  • Trent–Severn Waterway Lakes – the largest of which are Stoney, Buckhorn and Lower Buckhorn, Pigeon, Sturgeon, Chemong, Cameron, and Balsam. 

  • Balsam & Cameron Lakes – sandy shores and family-friendly boating.

  • The Mississauga Seven Lake Chain (Mississauga, Catchacoma, Beaver, Gold, McGinnis, Cold and Cavendish), Eels, Anstruther, and Chandos Lakes, which are all transition lakes in the North Kawartha Highlands that sit at the crossroads of two regions - The Kawarthas to the South and the more rugged Haliburton Highlands and Bancroft areas to the north. There are many other small to medium sized lakes in this transition zone such as Four Mile Lake, Shadow Lake, Crystal Lake, White Lake and Salerno Lake.  These lakes offer the rugged Canadian Shield beauty found in the Haliburton Highlands while still offering easy accessibility to the GTA.
